Be proud of yourself for taking positive and brave steps toward healing.

Some people witness or experience different types of violence during their childhood. Sometimes this violence goes unnamed because many people do not know the behaviours they were brought up with were abusive. That’s not your fault; it’s all you knew at the time. If you need support because of violence or harm you have witnessed or experienced, there are places you can go to and services you can access. Many of these services providers have multi-lingual.

Victim Services Toronto can help you understand your rights in Canada, even if you are an immigrant or refugee or your do not know your legal status.

At Victims Services Toronto, you can learn about your options in your preferred language andyou do not have to report a crime to police. If you are outside the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, you can contact Crisis Services Canada. To find a resource in your community
