Accountability

Accountability is key to achieving gender equality in workplaces, schools, institutions and communities. At White Ribbon, we create safe spaces for courageous conversations about accountability, past harm, and building equitable futures together.

We’ll meet you where you are

For more than 30 years, White Ribbon has worked with individuals, workplaces and institutions to help those who have caused harm navigate accountability in meaningful, honest, and transformative ways.

We meet people where they are, challenge them in caring ways, and promote positive change based on social justice and intersectional principles.

Learn more about our work and approach supporting individuals and institutions with remedial actions, performance improvement plans, codes of conduct and accountability by scheduling a free call with our team.

At the age of 18, Jordan Boswell made a “hurtful, misogynistic, and downright disgusting” social media comment about a survivor of sex trafficking.

Years later, entering a successful career in Canadian politics, his social media post resurfaced.

Since then, Jordan has worked with community organizers and White Ribbon to look back at his mistake, hold himself accountable and commit to being a better ally moving forward.

As part of his journey, Jordan wrote The Accountability of Allyship, a piece about his journey making himself accountable and calling men to become allies for gender equity.

“The reason I am doing this is because I want to be an ally...
