Beyond the Screen
Understanding and preventing incel radicalization of male youth
Free Online Training for Practitioners.
Young men and boys are being exposed to online spaces that glorify misogyny, fuel hate, and normalize violence. These harmful ideologies—rooted in the incel subculture—don’t stay online. They are showing up in our classrooms, clinics, and communities.
-
'Incel' or involuntary celibates is an online community of predominantly young men who have difficulty with dating, sex, and romance. In mainstream society, the incel community has been associated with aggrieved entitlement over women, misogynistic and anti-feminist ideologies, and sometimes real-world offline violence targeting women.
