Young men and boys across Ontario are being exposed to online spaces that glorify misogyny, fuel hate, and normalize violence. These harmful ideologies—rooted in the incel subculture—don’t stay online. They are showing up in our classrooms, clinics, and communities.

Beyond the Screen is a free, online course created for Ontario professionals who work directly with youth. Designed to fit into your schedule, the course helps you:
Understand the incel movement and the gender-based ideologies fuelling it.
Identify risk factors and warning signs in the young people you work with.
Learn strategies for early intervention, support, and prevention.
Promote healthy relationships, empathy, and inclusion in your work.

English and French-speaking professionals across three key youth-serving sectors in Ontario:
Mental Health – Social workers, therapists, counsellors, and clinicians supporting youth Child & Youth Care – Youth workers, outreach staff, and frontline care providers Education – Teachers, guidance counsellors, and school support staff (K–12 and post-secondary)

The training includes three modules, each built to inform, challenge, and empower you:
Module 1: Understanding gender, power, and digital culture
Module 2: Inside the incel subculture and how it spreads
Module 3: Real-world strategies to support youth and prevent harmYou’ll explore reflections, case studies, quizzes, and best practices tailored to your profession. A certificate of completion is available at the end.
