White Ribbon Campaign encourages you to be an inspiring ally to the women in your life and the women’s organizations in your community. In partnership with YWCA Canada, we are proud to join efforts in calling on all men and boys to participate in this year’s ROSE CAMPAIGN NATIONAL ACTION DAY on Violence Against Women Friday, December 3, 2010.
Talk To Your MP About Violence Against Women On National Action Day
On Fridays, the House of Commons doesn’t sit and many MPs are in their constituencies. As a resident or an organization operating in the constituency, you can make an appointment to talk to them in their local constituency office. Phone or write – a sample letter Appointment Request can be found below – asking for an appointment for a visit or a phone call on December 3, 2010. If December 3 doesn’t work for you or your MP, another date is fine. If you don’t have your MPs name or contact information you can find it at findmyMP by inserting your postal code.
Please support and join the Rose Campaign National Action Day (www.rosecampaign.ca) in promoting gender equality and ending violence against women in Canada and around the world. You can read the full press release here.
